IT Arena 2018: 3 300 participants in the biggest IT event in Eastern Europe
03 Oct 2018

This years IT Arena in Lviv was even bigger than in 2017. With 3 300 attendees it confidently holds the title of the largest IT event in Eastern Europe.
99 speakers of the main event were followed by 32 meetupts in 8 locations around the city.

The fifth annual event gathered more than 3000 participants and 500 companies. The target audience of IT Arena was as usually owners and managers of IT companies, business analysts, IT specialists and start ups.

“When we started this conference and gathered the first participants, it was already success for us. Time after that we started to analyze the audience to understand who is participating. If during the last four years we heard that IT Arena is a place where “everyone is familiar”, all the same people, now we feel that conference has completely new attendees. I clearly remember strolling through conference area and knowing everybody. Now I’m going and thinking – who are those people? I’m not familiar with them. This, probably, suggests that we have grown and our audience has changed. Of course, we are located in Lviv and Ukraine is a valuable market, but we want to attract participants from Europe. We are conducting target marketing.” – says Stepan Veselovskiy, Lviv IT Cluster CEO.

Conference is divided into four directions: technology, business, products and startups. Although, IT Arena remains technologically oriented, startups are in focus as well. This year a competition was held and 10 startups were granted a chance to present their developments to judges and event participants. 5 best startups received money prizes, mentorships and travel grants.

Besides two days of conventional conference, one day was dedicated to themed meetings – meetups – in several location in the city center. Participants could choose the topic they are interested in and visit the discussions held in different cafes and restaurants of our city.

In 2019 IT Arena plans to grow even bigger. The goal is set at 4000 attendees and 100+ speakers. Don’t miss it, save the date for IT Arena 2019!
